Good series about vampires mysteries. 4 out of 5
Amazin Blu ray, that tell us the history of vamparies in another way, like them living around us. And make we think about it.
I would like more titles of HBO series that have more subtitlles in Portuguese, i'm a Brazilian, and here in Brazil we like very mutch the HBO series.

I got hooked on True Blood after the first few episodes of the first season. I don't watch a lot of TV, so for a show to grab me like that takes something extra. True Blood is exciting, sexy and entertaining as hell. HBO clearly used the production budget wisely- the show looks great and the effects don't look cheesy at all. I was very happy to get the DVD's, since this is a show where there is so much going on that you will definitely want to watch seasons over again. There's quite a bit of nudity, so if you're not a fan of that then avoid the show, but other than that I'd reccomend it to pretty much anyone.
I've read the books, and this is one of the few cases where the show is better. The books are focused completely on the protagonist, who becomes very unlikable towards the end of the series. True Blood, on the other hand, tells the story of several different characters, and Anna Paquin did a great job portraying Sookie- she's innocent and friendly without coming across as a total airhead.
One last comment on the Disc+ On Demand promotional thing that Amazon is doing right now: I'm a fan. As soon as I purchased the DVD, I was able to start watching episodes online from Amazon.com. The picture quality was great and it's convenient that I have about three months to watch the episodes. I wouldn't buy the DVD's just because of this, but it was certainly a nice little extra.

The series is full of twists and turns, but be warned it's pretty violent and graphic.

I e-mailed vendor to tell them the product was not in New condition as advertised, they replied one time with what else was wrong beside not being factory wrapped. I told them the discs were in pink CD holders like you would buy at office max, did not hear back from them after that. hopefully discs are viewable.
