Misleading! Buy Season One instead! 1 out of 5
I bought this because I thought it was separate from Season One, but it's just the first episode of season one, set off as a separate DVD, and pretty expensive too. I love Stargate, but this is just a cheap effort to make extra money. You can't even compare it to the "Children of the Gods" episode that was recently released for SG-1. At least that episode had been re-edited and even re-shot in some places, to justify the separate release.

I thoroughly enjoyed the continuation of the Stargate journeys. The special effects were outstanding and even with the "thread" of commonality running through the series... I looked forward to the next episode time after time! Talk about "firing the imagination"! David Hewlett as Dr. McKay proved to be funny more and more. Paul McGillion as Dr. Beckett was great on many occasions... I LOVE the accent!!
Stargate Atlantis - Rising (Pilot Episode) 5 out of 5
As an SGA fan (starting from the movie Stargate years ago), I was very sad to see this show cancelled. So of course, when I got the sad news, given a chance to revisit the pilot in DVD, I jumped at the chance and was not disappointed.
Along with the episode itself, I enjoyed very much the extra interview by the director, Martin Wood and the star, Joe Flanigan, a commentary of the hows and whys of many parts of the episode as it was artfully done.
Sorry, no fun and action here with this review. I did it 'cause you asked, OK?
